Our art associate’s degree program encourages a broad exposure to the arts and will prepare you for advanced study and careers in many areas, including studio art, art education, applied design, museum studies, and marketing for the arts.
The studio art curriculum provides a balanced foundation for immediate entry into the professional field or for further study. We ensure a seamless transfer to prestigious institutions across the US.

Program Outcomes
Upon completion of this program a student will be able to:
- Demonstrate a basic comprehension of art with a historical and contemporary context.

Transfer Opportunities
MC has a long history of successfully preparing students for transfer to four-year institutions. Students planning to transfer in an art-related major should follow this degree, thestudio art degree, or thegeneral studies degree. Employment of arts and design occupations is projected to grow 4 percent from 2016 to 2026. More workers will be needed to meet the growing demand for animation and visual effects in video games, movies, television, and on smartphones, as well as to help create visually appealing and effective layouts of websites and other media platforms.
